DUNKELD GARDEN ROOM EXTENSION, PERTHSHIRE
The existing kitchen in this rural cottage was cramped and dark and the house had a poor connection and limited outlook onto the back garden and the woodland beyond it. The existing lean-to extension was replaced with new green oak frame extension with a pitched roof to mirror the gable ends of the adjacent property. The new glazed gable opens up the house to the garden through bi-fold doors and the full height glazing allows long views up to the tree canopy of the woodland behind the house. Large rooflights bring natural light into the central kitchen and dining area.
